Spatial Interventions by Shelley Jardine consists of evolving work responding to movement, design and architectural properties. The work includes performance and exhibition, using materiality, geometry and paint to underpin notions of space and movement.
Spatial Interventions invites audiences to experience the relationship between art, movement and the spaces we inhabit. Geelong-based artist, curator and educator Shelley Jardine presents a performance that responds to the architectural features, geometry and materials of the space, exploring how people move through and experience their surroundings.
The performance will be open to the public and held in an accessible location, inviting audiences and the community to experience art and performance firsthand with a local artist.
Following the performance on 2 October 2026, 11am–12pm, Jardine will create a painting response to the work. This piece will be installed and exhibited as part of the Platform 30 program, opening on 22 October 2026.
Through performance, painting and experimentation, Spatial Interventions encourages anyone to see the spaces around them in new ways and consider how creative interventions can connect people with the design of their environment.
