This open conversation invites students, researchers, practitioners and community members to learn more about the process of adapting the Denny Lascelles Wool Store into the Deakin Waterfront Campus we know today.
Through dialogue with McGlashan Everist practitioners and current architectural tutors, the conversation will move through the design and construction process of the campus, exploring the details, the people, and the legacies that this adaptive reuse project continues to shape today.
This discussion will reflect on the significance of the project, both for the practice of McGlashan Everist and for the Geelong community, considering how the transformation of this large-scale industrial site has reshaped broader understanding of the waterfront as a place.
