As the sun sets over Geelong’s waterfront, the Victorian Regional Design Fair transforms into a vibrant after-hours celebration of creativity, experimentation and connection.
Spend the evening exploring exhibitions, discovering contemporary products and meeting designers, makers and creative practitioners from across regional Victoria before settling into a unique program of live performances that blur the boundaries between art, technology, music and culture. The Fair is the centrepiece of Geelong Design Week, showcasing the depth, diversity and innovation of regional design through exhibitions, talks, installations and immersive experiences.
6.30pm | IO
Award-winning artist and creative technologist Laura Alice joins multidisciplinary musician Quinn EarthChild to present IO, an immersive eco-futurist performance where live coding, music and living systems converge. Using real-time visuals, digital modular synthesis, plant bio-signals and custom-built technologies, IO transforms moss, leaves and living organisms into instruments, creating an ever-evolving landscape of sound and light. Inspired by science, mythology and solarpunk futures, the work imagines new relationships between technology, creativity and the natural world.
7.30pm | Kanji K, aka Love Tempo
Together, IO and Love Tempo create a journey that moves from immersive experimentation to collective energy, offering visitors a chance to experience the Fair in a different light. Wander the showcases, connect with fellow creatives, discover new ideas and enjoy an evening where design, music and culture come together.
